Residential case study

Tank top-up timed around the family’s morning routine

The tank was refilling while the family showered and prepared for work and school, reducing water pressure inside the house. We installed a scheduled top-up valve so the tank could refill outside this busy morning period.

What was done

  • Installed a dedicated top-up valve and upgraded the controller, using the existing Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Scheduled the top-up at 10am and 1pm on selected days.
  • Confirmed controller and valve operation through Hydrawise and manual testing at attendance.

Please note: these settings are property-specific examples, not universal advice. This case study does not claim a measured increase in household water pressure.

Garden repairs

  • Leaking regulator replaced.
  • 13mm lateral changed to 25mm.
  • Microsprays added.
  • Improved garden-bed flow observed; coverage to be monitored.

Not all faults from the previous audit were repaired.
